We open with the voice of Jon Anik welcoming us to the show along with a look into the locker room of Team Cruz fighter and #1 overall pick Justin Lawrence. He's set to take on BJJ master Christiano Marcello of Team Faber.

-The predominant theme of the opening segment was the fight announcement for this week's fight where Cruz called on Lawrence and then left the floor open for Faber to handpick his opponent. Faber asked his team who was ready to go and...not one person spoke up. I mean, I get it. Lawrence was the #1 pick for a reason; he's a legit badass, but this sure felt like the right time for one of Dana White's patented "do you wanna be a f#&*ing fighter?!" speeches if there ever was one.

-We were also treated to some Team Cruz training where we found out Chris Tickle weasels out of training with a variety of excuses every chance he gets. There's one every year. Yawn.

-Ah, prank time. Before the break we saw Chris Tickle break off Urijah Faber's parking spot sign, so in retaliation Faber put black tape over the picture of Cruz in the training center to connect his eyebrows because, as Faber says, "Dominick is a cross between Dracula and Eddie Munster.

-Back from break and we look live into the fighter locker rooms again, because, oh yeah, there's a fight tonight.

-We see Lawrence getting some tips in training from half-guard sweep master Wilson Reis. Brilliant choice to imitate Marcello's ground game.

-Back to the pranks and we see Team Cruz putting a thong over the chin of the picture of Urijah in the training center. Game. Set. Match.

-Finally we get some Marcello training footage. Gameplan: keep the chin tucked and go for broke.

[Commercial Break]

-Minutes til the fight and we get the obligatory "fighters talking to their friend(s) in the house about how much the fight/show means to them" segment.

-Weigh-ins go off without a hitch and the fighters do their last bit of testimonial trash talking.

-Anik takes us into the locker rooms one last time before our last pre-fight commercial break.

FIGHT: JUSTIN LAWRENCE VS. CHRISTIANO MARCELLO

ROUND ONE: Not much action to speak of in round one. Lawrence takes it on the sheer fact that the only strikes Marcello managed to land in the entire round were four or five kicks to the legs and the body. Every time he tried to throw, Lawrence was already long gone. Neither fighter attempted a takedown.

ROUND TWO: Tired of being the clearly inferior striker, Marcello finally tries for a bodylock takedown, but to no avail. Lawrence is really opening up with the striking now, landing jabs, left hooks, and body kicks at will. Marcello backs against the cage looking defeated, gets dropped by a clubbing left hook, and its all over. Marcello is left limp against the cage as Lawrence celebrates.

[Commercial Break]

WINNER: Justin Lawrence by KO at 3:16 of Round 2

-Both fighters are interviewed by Jon Anik after the fight, and then its time for next week's fight announcement. Cruz picks Myles Jury from his own squad to take on Al Iaquinta from Team Butt-chin.

-Thanks for joining us here this week, we'll be back with another live blog next week with a new episode of TUF: Live on FX.
