Former WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown will try to pick up consecutive wins for the first time in three years when he takes on Daniel Pineda this May.
The UFC announced the matchup on Wednesday, which will take place as part of the night's preliminary card in Las Vegas.
Brown has gone 3-3 in six fights since losing his title to Jose Aldo, including a stretch of three losses in four fights. However, he bounced back from consecutive losses in his last bout, when he defeated Nam Phan by decision last August at UFC 133. He was supposed to return in January, but an injury kept him out of action.
Pineda has been impressive in his short UFC career thus far, submitting Pat Schilling and Mackens Semerzier in his first two fights this year. The wins moved his winning streak to seven fights.
