UFC 148 Video: Anderson Silva held back from Chael Sonnen in heated pre-fight staredown

We're still days away from the rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen at UFC 148, and on Tuesday things took another heated turn with their first staredown of fight week. After an hour of answering the same questions they've been getting asked for months, Silva finally got to get into Sonnen's face, and what followed was one of the more intense staredowns he's ever had.

Sonnen was mostly in schtick mode throughout the press conference, which took place from Lagasses Stadium in Las Vegas, and Silva was mostly subdued. However, it was what happened after that will be remembered from the proceedings.

Silva initially pressed his body into Sonnen with his head to the side, then shoved his forehead into Sonnen's face, prompting UFC President Dana White to step in. Silva needed to be restrained as he continued trying to get into Sonnen's face, and they were eventually pulled apart, with Silva remaining intense until Sonnen left the stage.
