"He wants to get into Anderson Silva's head and he did it. That's what he wants, because when you fight with emotion, you don't fight smart. The crowd, they love it. [Silva] he's going to go crazy but he can make a mistake if you do that. It's a big mistake. You have to go back to the reason he's a champion. And the reason he's a champion is because he fights smart, he's skilled. More skilled than the other guys... He brings the fight where he is the best. He doesn't go crazy. That's what Chael Sonnen wants from him"

-UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre comments on Anderson Silva's recent tirade towards Chael Sonnen and how it could negatively affect the Middleweight Champ at UFC 148 (via Sportsnet.ca).

Penick's Analysis: Anderson Silva may have gone off the edge verbally a bit last week, but that doesn't mean he's going to fight with reckless abandon come July 7. One verbal tirade doesn't change how the fight would play out one way or another. Silva's either going to be able to come in and prove himself the superior fighter or he's not. He won't be going overly crazy in the cage, and he hasn't shown a tendency to let emotion overtake him in his career; so even though he's more riled up for this fight, it won't mean he's going to necessarily have a difficult time doing what he needs to do in order to win.
