The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship will be on the line this September, as the bout between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson will take place on September 1. That event will take place in Las Vegas, and is expected to be UFC 151.

UFC President Dana White confirmed the date for the fight on Wednesday on Twitter.

Jones defended his belt for a third time last month, taking out his former mentor, friend, and teammate Rashad Evans by decision. That win was his fourth straight in title fights, and he now holds wins over four former champions with Evans joining Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Lyoto Machida, and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua on Jones' list of victims.

Henderson earned his shot at the belt in his UFC return last November. After winning three straight fights by knockout in Strikeforce, Henderson was brought back over to the UFC. Then he edged past Shogun in the 2011 fight of the year. He waited out for a title shot, and now he's got a date for that bout.

Penick's Analysis: This is a fantastic title fight, and is going to be another huge bout for the UFC this year. Jones has been a fantastic Champion already, and if he can get past Henderson it's going to be another huge notch on his belt. Henderson will provide a heavy hitting test in this fight, but it's definitely Jones' fight to lose.
