White didn't confirm the date or location of the bout, simply that the matchup is indeed what Lombard will be getting for his debut. However, MMAJunkie.com reports that the bout is being targeted for the UFC on Fox 4 card in Los Angeles on August 4.
Lombard left Bellator while still Champion following the expiration of his contract this year, and he'll bring his 25-fight unbeaten streak into the Octagon for the first time in his career.
The hard-hitting Stann will provide a major test for Lombard whenever the fight happens, and he enters off his third TKO win in four fights, taking out Alessio Sakara at UFC on Fuel 2 in Sweden earlier this month.
Penick's Analysis: This was definitely the sensible matchup with everyone else at the top of the division currently booked. It's a fantastic test for both Lombard and Stann, and will give a clear picture of where the Bellator Champ stands in the UFC's middleweight division. It's also a huge leap in exposure for Lombard, who will move from MTV2 to Fox for this bout.
