That event, which now comes to the city of Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais, Brazil, is expected to be headlined by the "Ultimate Fighter: Brazil" coaches bout between Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort.
Dias attempted to get on the debut season of the reality series in his home country, but the organization opted to bring him directly in. He brings with him a 20-1-1 career record, and rides and eight-fight winning streak into his UFC debut.
Alcantara is in the midst of an immensely impressive 13-fight winning streak, which has brought his career record to 27-3 overall. That winning streak includes two straight wins in the UFC in the last nine months. He successfully debuted in the UFC and the featherweight division last August when he defeated Felipe Arantes at UFC 134. He followed that up in January with a decision win over Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 142. This will be his third straight UFC appearance in Brazil.
Penick's Analysis: This is a really good featherweight bout, and a huge test for both fighters on immensely impressive streaks. Both have made their names in Brazil, and will continue to do so on this card, with a much wider worldwide audience than they've had previously, especially for Dias. This is a very good addition to this Brazil card, and should be a very entertaining fight.
