What did Overeem say in his first interview since controversy started?

By Wade Keller, PWTorch editor

MMA Uncensored hyped an interview tonight on Spike TV with Alistair Overeem. When the show aired tonight, though, it was a pretaped interview by show producer John Moody with Overeem from two days ago. Host Craig Carton said Overeem would not discuss the PED situation, but he had a lot to say about fighting Junior dos Santos.

In the interview, Overeem talked as if the fight was going to take place. "Nothing scares me the most about Junior dos Santos," he said when asked what he fears most about JDS. "Everything he's doing, I've all seen it before. There's no fear. There's only two things. Trained and not trained. And when I step into the Octagon on May 26th, I'm going to be trained."

Mike Straka then reported that UFC has still applied for Overeem to be licensed, but it'll be a miracle if Nevada licenses him. He noted that Overeem left the country the day his last test was scheduled before his Brock Lesnar fight. He said even if he has a TRT exemption, it can't be abused, but he and his camp seem confident, so maybe he has an excuse for the failure.

They put photos of Overeem side by side of Overeem's "before and after."

Nate Quary remarked: "You've got to be very naive to take a look at those pictures and not think he's taking performance enhancing supplements. Let's just say he can put on 40 to 50 pounds of pure muscle in about four or five years, when 20 pounds of that is directly on the head, that's an issue. Look at these before and after issues; if most of the weight is on your head, there is a problem."

Carton jokingly asked if there is a workout that puts weight on your head.
